Long-time customers and visitors to my web site have become accustomed to using my Order Form to place orders, but as the number of items I stock continues to increase the one-page catalog has become unbelievably long and is often slow to load, especially for those with dial-up modem connections to the Internet.

Throughout the months of July and August 2007 I designed and developed an MS Windows program to automatically generate the web pages that make up the entire HO Slot Car Racing web site.

This new program has allowed me to logically integrate the items I sell into the various pages of this web site. Now instead of searching my order form for Tomy AFX Super G+Plus replacement parts or BSRT Hop-Up Parts for the SG+ chassis, you can simply go to the Tomy page to find information and parts, all in one place!

My new page design software has made it much easier to include pertinent information about the variety of products I stock and sell, instead of just the simple single-line description the order form provides.

HO Slot Car Racing was started in 1999 to provide accurate information about the HO slot car racing hobby. The Internet was beginning to become a main-stream Information outlet for most people so pages devoted to raceway design, layout wiring and computer-assisted lap timing and counting were some of the first topics covered.

Many visitors asked where they could buy the wiring products I described, and others asked me to custom build a slot car raceway for them.

The first products HO Slot Car Racing offered in 1999 were Track Wiring Kits, Custom Power Tracks, Drivers Stations and MS Windows Lap Timer 2000 Software for counting and timing laps.

These products remain in the catalog to this day and are still much-appreciated by track owners who want a professionally wired track. See the Power page for more information about complete wiring kits, power tracks, drivers stations and the various track wiring supplies required to safely and easily wire a slot car track of any scale.

The Construction page illustrates how all of these products are brought together to build a 4-lane slot car track you'll be proud to own and race on for many years to come.

As I built more and more custom tracks for customers I realized that a need existed for turn borders or aprons that could be placed around the outside of turns to provide a drifting area and eliminate the guard rails that allowed the car in the outside lane to lean on the rail and gain an unfair advantage.

I designed tooling to have these turn borders made for me by a company specializing in rubber products. These turn borders are available on the Borders page along with red and white striped FISA curb tape kits.

Color Coded Lane Marking Tape was added around that same time. These kits made it easy for anyone to mark their lanes using this handy tape kit.

I can only build and ship tracks in the Milwaukee / Chicago area. I can however provide you with a complete kit including everything you'll need to assemble a track yourself. You will have to either build your own table or hire a local carpenter to build one for you. A professional carpenter can normally do this in a single day, so labor and material costs will be quite low.

One benefit of purchasing a track kit and providing your own table is that you can then build a larger table than I could normally deliver. A 4'x12' or 5'4"x12' table can be built for approximately $125.00 and will provide for a much faster layout than I can normally build and ship.

The Tables page has plans that you or your carpenter can use to build a sturdy table for the raceway kit of your choosing.

Keep in mind that a bigger table provides for longer, and faster straights, while a slightly wider table normally allows for two additional straights running the full length of the table to provide for a much longer lap.

Two of my most popular selling 12' raceways are shown below, but any of the raceways shown on the Layouts page can be purchased as a complete turn-key kit, less the table. The two most popular 4x8 foot raceway kits for racers with smaller rooms are also illustrated, as well as a 36" x 80" Portable raceway for apartment dwellers.
